According to SFV Media, a motorcyclist was killed in a two car crash, which caused a closure of truck lanes on the Golden State 5 Freeway near Newhall Pass on Sunday September 16, 2018. The crash occurred in the truck lanes of the southbound 5 Freeway around 11:10 A.M. California Highway Patrol reported that the deceased was ejected from his motorcycle and hit a guardrail. While no other injuries were reported, as a result of the crash, numerous vehicles were stuck in traffic caused by the crash while in they were in the truck lanes.
